Freezing Pipes – Source of water damage
2/8/2016 (Permalink)
A frozen pipe can burst at the point where the ice blockage inside the pipe is located, but typically the rupture is caused by the backflow pressure between the water source and the blockage. A burst pip can cause considerable damage to your property if not addressed quickly. If not addressed mold can develop and further damage a home.
The photos show the damage caused by an exterior pipe that burst and resulting water and mold damage.
